I’m pleased to invite you to the FY16 Global Finance Delivery Strategy Session in Manila. The theme for this year is “in the driver’s seat”. On the back of our recent transformations and transitions, we need to take a more active role in driving change and getting our delivery in higher gears. Our aim is to drive financial performance by shaping strategy, allocating resources and ensuring decisions are based on facts, we will focus on what we should be doing to be true to our purpose.
This is the third year we run such event and our experience has shown that getting the team together to agree on initiatives, associated timelines and be accountable for their execution has proven to be empowering and great way deliver on our collective objectives with pace. Whilst we will be reflecting upon our achievements for the year, we will spend a fair amount of time making sure that our objectives (GFD, Teams and personal) are clear and aligned as we embark on a major year of change. We will also have specific sessions on IPA (Intelligent Process Automation), Digital and how we can drive our Finance processes to be lean and work in an agile manner which I’m sure you will all enjoy.
Antonia Watson (CFO NZ) and John Frechtling (GM IIB Transformation) will join us, great opportunity to hear from them on how we can make a difference but also to network with the rest of the Finance team. Nigel Watts from Future Platform will run a Gear Change session on Day 4, this is in continuation of the sessions that the Finance Extended Leadership team has been attending over the past few months.
The agenda is attached as well as a link to our GFD Team application where your pre work and reading is available. I encourage each of you to spend time preparing for the sessions and getting ready for contributing. Below is some of the pre-work you will be required to undertake
• Log onto gfd.teamapp.com – you should have received an invitation to sign up. If you are like me, you will install the application on iPhone/iPad or Android
• Open up the PDF called “prework” in the Documents section of the application
• Go through the documents and videos before the session
I look forward to see you all in Manila for four days which will no doubt be hard work but rewarding as a team, we have some events planned on the second and third night which will give us a chance to network and have fun!
